Nin mean you. ![]() Ma is a very common interrogative which always appears at the end of the sentences and express a simple question. If you ask Emily, "Ni shi Meiguo ren ma?" Ni shi Meiguo ren ma? "Are you American?" She will response, "Wo bu shi Meiguo ren, wo shi Yinggou ren." Wo bu shi Meiguo ren, wo shi Yinggou ren. If you are from UK, your response should be, "Wo shi Yingguo ren." Wo shi Yingguo ren. We don't always say the word country after every name. Yingguo is Great Britain, Germany, Déguó. Your response should be, Wo shi and your nationality. Ni ne? And you? Ni shi na guo ren Where are you from? Na means where, Guo is country Ni shi na guo ren. Chinese is like bridge, in that it's connecting you and me. The aim is to learn some more basic and helpful Chinese through this lesson. ![]() In this course, we are going to learn how to introduce one's nationality.
